Challenge

For my final undergraduate project in Industrial Design, I set out to explore how furniture could bring playfulness and comfort to work environments often defined by technical and conservative aesthetics. Inspired by Peter Opsvik’s iconic seating designs, I wanted to create an object that invited movement, curiosity, and a more human connection with space.

The Concept

Modo is a modular workstation that adapts between working, reading, and relaxing modes. Its flexible components seat, backrest, and surface can be rearranged intuitively, encouraging users to shift positions and rediscover a sense of lightness in their daily routines.
